Most of us went to Stammersdorf from Floridsdorf with the 31 tram. To Floridsdorf there is U6 but also S-Bahn. Stammersdorf is the starting point of Stadtwanderweg 5.
At a parking lot Alison told us about the names “Bisamberg” and “Fischamend”. (It is called Bisamberg because the danube water was there bis-am-Berg).
Near Bisambergsender there is a nice meadow and view to the danube and to Kahlenberg/Leopoldsberg.
At Eichendorff Höhe we left the Stadtwanderweg to go to Elisabethhöhe. There is a nice column and view to Klosterneuburg and Korneuburg.
Some of us went back to the Restaurant Gamshöhe and some stayed at the meadow to build a snowman.
We met again at the restaurant and went through the forest back to the Stadtwanderweg.
In the forest we had a snowball fight.
The way back through the vineyards is very nice because of the view to Vienna. But it was a little bit windy there. We made some more pictures at a hay stack.
It was great fun with many nice people. I announced this hike just one day before and so many people joined this was great and is promising for a nice hiking season!

Hey, weather is so nice tomorrow on Sunday 🙂 Let’s go to Bisamberg? We meet at 10 in Stammersdorf (Line 31 station).
This is a medium length hike and we can make some breaks in the sunshine. We can visit some Heuriger but bring some food also.
We can also do some Geocaching if we are not too many people and all want to do it.
