The Sigma 16mm 1.4 lens received praises all over the Internet. I have used it for 2 month and almost sent it back because of the problems I found.

The lens is very good for photography, the pictures are sharp and the low light performance is excellent. But the autofocus noise in video mode is very annoying. I found a solution that works for me. Check out my video review:

    I bought the Sigma 30mm f1.4 second-hand and it is maiing the same noise.I thought it was a damaged lens until i saw your video.

      Hey thanks for the info. I have the Sony 28mm F2.0 which does not have the problem, it is a good alternative to the Sigma 30mm but maybe the Sigma is sharper and of course it has 1.4. Just recently I filmed with the Sigma 16mm and was again annoyed that the focus motor kind of destroyed my audio because I had the mic to near to the lens. But the Sigma are still great lenses.
